Khristine Heflin, LCSW-C
Thriving in the contemporary world means navigating a life with a myriad of stressors as well as embracing opportunities to experience the world through a lens that looks very different from previous generations. There may be a time when navigating life becomes too difficult, and this is when I would be honored to walk with you, your child or your family on that journey.

I am passionate about supporting youth and adults as they navigate life's challenges. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a space for you to feel centered while discussing issues such as life transitions, parenting support and relationship concerns. I also provide evidence-based treatment with a clinical focus on ADHD, anxiety, and depression symptom management. In addition, I work with birthing and post-partum families on perinatal mental health. In my practice, I consider the developmental, age, cultural and environmental experiences of the person I am working with to ensure treatment is tailored to each person's unique goals. I integrate cognitive, dialectical, acceptance and mindfulness-based approaches that center youth, adults and their families in the work we do together.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group treatment. My educational background includes a master's degree in social work with a concentration in mental health, families and children, and a bachelor's degree in psychology. I am tri-licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.

I look forward to partnering with you.
